Bully-Free Ambassadors’ Mass Camp 2019
The Bully-Free ambassadors are back!
This year, we had 56 budding Bully-Free Ambassadors from Frontier, Maha Bodhi, Naval Base and West View Primary school who joined us for this camp! The theme of the camp was “Be the change, be Bully-Free”, where students came together to develop strategies on how they could make their schools a bully-free, fun and learning environment.
Our Bully-Free ambassadors went through role-plays on how they could manage a bullying incident and how they could step up as an upstander. The students participated actively in the different activities which enhanced their learning through the process.
We asked Tan Cheng Lin what he liked about the camp, he said “I like that we get to design our banners, exhibition panel and posters by ourselves, instead of each school having the same design.”
Bully-Free Ambassadors then went back to their respective schools with their own posters, exhibition panels and banners to be placed around their schools to echo the bully-free messages and to advocate a zero stance to bullying.
Joia Desiree Quek shared that, “bullying will hurt others’ feelings and will only make them sad. If you were to be bullied, you will not only feel sad but can feel very hurt. Let us make people happy by not bullying”.
We are pleased to see all the beautiful work and measures taken to make a school a Bully-Free, fun and learning environment. We would like to thank all teachers, parents and our new Bully-Free Ambassadors’ for being part of the camp. Our next run this camp will be held in 2020.
